West Ivanhoe Netball Club is strongly committed to providing and promoting a safe, positive, and empowering environment for children and young people. Proactive measures are in place to ensure children and young people enjoy environments and experiences that ensure their physical, cultural and emotional safety. The welfare of children is always our first priority and there is zero tolerance to child abuse.
The netball club has endorsed the following policies:
Netball Child Safety Officer - Leanne Anstee - Contact: 0430 503 336
Leanne has undergone training in child safety and is available as the first point of contact for any young person, or parent who wishes to raise any issue. Details for the child safety officer is communicated to all players and families at the commencement of each season.
All coaches, volunteers and staff over 18 years of age are required to hold a current Working with Children Check.
Cricket
The executive of the West Ivanhoe Sporting Club adopted Australian cricket's commitment to safeguarding children and young people in 2022.
The Club commits to providing a safe, positive, and empowering environment for children and young people. Our Child Safety Officer is available as the first point of contact for any young person or parent who wishes to raise any issue.
West Ivanhoe cricket has endorsed:
The Cricket Victoria 2022 Member Protection Policy (MPP); and
Australian Cricket’s Commitment Statement and Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People, along with the Looking after our Kids Code of Behaviour for Affiliated Associations Clubs & Indoor Centres (Child Safe Policies).
